Tom Charbit is a Ceramist from Paris, living in Ardèche France. He studied political science and sociology at the Sorbonne, going on to write and publish work. In 2005, he left Paris for Burgundy, and a career in science for a life as a ceramist. Four years later, he moved to Ardèche. His work is situated between canons, pulling inspiration from the Japanese principles of Wabi-Sabi while continuing to make his own aesthetic language. Highly inspired by the Ardèche, with its limestone cliffs, stunted junipers, and wild rosemary, he creates work inspired by the “marvelous spectacle of nature”. Since 2012, Charbit has been a permanent artist at Cavin-Morris and in 2022 published his book Les Sirènes d'Es Vedrá.
